The Bowling Green Falcons square off against an FCS opponent Fordham Rams at Doyt L. Perry Stadium on Thursday, August 29, 2024. A team from the mid-American conference BGSU has a 93-year FBS history. the conference League which was a popularly known independent cup that they won in the (1999-1920) season and (1921-30) season. This was the first title for them. It became a glory for Bowl Green Falcons when they claimed national titles in 1959 at that time the competitions were set only between small colleges. Scot Loeffler was elected as the head coach of Bowl Green after Mike Jinks. Loeffler is the 20th coach of BGSU. Bowling Green played their 100-anniversary game under Scot Loeffler. BGSU availed 27.5-point underdogs and pulled off their first victory against Toledo since 2009. BG finished their season 3-9. Loeffler’s greatest win against the Minnesota Gophers in 2021 at Huntington Bank stadium. Fordham will host Bowl Green at their first meeting so that Bowl Green will get more advantage than FOR.
The Fordham Rams deputized the Fordham University in the FBS Championship. Fordham, a 142-year-old team, has yet to pass the best time they were included in NCAA Division-I FCS in 1969.
