Watch NCAAF 2024 Live

Top schools from various states generate tens of millions in yearly revenue. This mega show will be held in about 15 of the largest American stadiums by capacity, all hosting FBS teams or games. The NCAA committee was the first to use images, names, and lights to engage the audience. During the event, the FBS authority provides students with tuition, housing, and books. Generally, in FBS events, the NCAA does not officially award an FBS football national championship nor sanction a playoff tournament to determine such a champion on the field. The “Football Bowl Subdivision” started in 1978 and has continued to grow in popularity.

Current champion Michigan Wolverines Football, Texas, now holds its 13th FBS college football title, more than any other state.

Southern California’s participation in the 2004 championship was postponed by the NCAA committee due to infractions.

The 2023 FBS final was a head-to-head battle between Michigan and Washington.

FBS, or the Football Bowl Subdivision, consists of 11 different conferences: the ACC, American, Big 12, Big 10, C-USA, Independent, MAC, Mountain West, PAC-12, SEC, and Sun Belt conferences.

134 teams compete in this FBS competition. Worldwide TV channels and different eras of sports are engaged with these competitions. Team Texas has the glory of winning 13 college football titles, more than any other team, but in 2023, the Michigan Wolverines football team dramatically changed the narrative with their outstanding performance.

The NCAA has divided schools into three major divisions: Divisions I, II & III. Division I is further subdivided into two categories – the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). These divisions are further divided into different conferences. Although the NCAA has granted membership to about 1,100 schools, 134 teams qualify for the main event. Before 1978, the NCAA was a single division for all schools. The 2024 NCAA Division I will be the 155th season of college football.

This thrilling and exciting event will start on August 24 and will end on December 14. The postseason will begin on December 14 and, apart from any already scheduled all-star games, will end on January 20, 2025. The FBS, Football Bowl Subdivision event was postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic but returned in all its glory in 2022. Spectators across the world are eagerly anticipating this mega event.
