The 2024 NCAA Division FBS football season is ready to start its 155th season on 24th August 2024. The second match of the Football Bowl Subdivision is MTST vs UNM. New Mexico Lobos will host Montana States at their famous arena popularly known as “University Stadium”. New Mexico will try its best to return to its past glory and Montana State will try to prove itself as a giant. Team Bobcats started their journey about 127 years ago in 1897. Though MTST owns the three Championship titles, at present they cannot showcase their excellence. They won the title in 1956, 1976 and 1984. But in the 20th century, they failed to win any glorious title. But it’s impressive news for the MTST team that they are the only team that won a national championship on 3 different labels of competition NAIA, NCAA, Division II, and NCAA I-AA. The Montana State Bobcats have been gradually developing under coach Brent Vegan since 2015. The supporters of MTST are glorified by the fight song “Stand up and cheer. Montana State has won 22 conference Leagues including 17 in the Big Sky Conference and 5 in the Mountain Athletic Conference. Though Montana Grizzlies is considered the primary rival of Montana State New Mexico Lobos will be a challenge for them. Apart from the champions title they qualified for the playoffs 13 times. Sony Holland is considered an iconic player and may inspire them in the upcoming match. It was a miracle that Holland returned to MSU as a head coach in 1971 and was disappointedly defeated by his ex-team Montana States.

But team UNM will get by with more facilities for their home ground with plenty of support from their ground audience.
